ROYAL OAK ANGLING CLUB

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023

Dear Member,

The Annual General meeting of the Club will be held on Sunday, 12th February, 2023 at 10.30 am at Penallta Rugby Club, Ystrad Mynach which is situated at the former council office on the old Caerphilly Road next to the playground.

Please make every effort to attend.

Members are reminded that the coarse fishing ponds at Penallta Park are available for fishing with no fee for all members of Rhymney River Federation of Angling Clubs of which the Royal Oak Angling Club is one.

When fishing along the west bank of the Rhymney River as it passes through the grounds of the new Ystrad Mynach Hospital access for pedestrians can be gained through the Hospital access off the Old Caerphilly Road

The Hospital will also allow access through the main access off the by-pass and parking for a maximum of 4 cars in the staff only car park – Signs indicating ‘fishing club member’ must be displayed on dashboard/windscreen..

Members are reminded that all fish caught in the river less that 12 inches in length are to be returned to the river.

Note that it will not now be possible to renew your membership at the AGM. – This can only be done through the Club’s Website.

On line membership should be available by the time of the AGM

There may be teething problems so please be patient and please follow the On line instructions very carefully.

Queries relating to problems with the On line membership process should be directed to the Webmaster .

The Club also has a Facebook page (royaloakanglingclubystradmynach) which contains limited info and where discussions can take place.

Members are reminded to report as soon as practically possible any incidents involving injury , to the Secretary who holds the Accident Book .Similarly any particularly dangerous hazards should also be reported to the Secretary.

Also note that the committee has decided that Club subscriptions for 2023 will have to be raised as follows :

Seniors – £30

Juniors / OAP’s – £20

Day Tickets – £8
